February Favourites!

Hey guys,

Welcome back to my blog. So I only just realised that I hadn’t uploaded my February faves to my Youtube yet. I have been lacking motivation to film recently so I thought I would blog it instead. To be honest, not much has changed since January but I do have a few new products that I have been loving. Let me know what products you have been loving in he comments and they may be featured next month.

Living With The Bad Boy– a wattpad story

I decided to read more stories on Wattpad. The book I chose to read was called “Living With The Bad Boy” and I loved it so much. It is all about a nice girl called Bronte who moves in with the school’s Bad Boy called Blake. She tries to make friends with him but it is difficult as he has built his wall so high. The ending to this book is super sweet so I recommend you read this.

Pink Custard Shower Jelly

If you love Lush like me, you will know that they have released their Mother’s day range. When I went into lush, I saw they had a new shower Jelly and I got a bit excited. It is called Pink Custard and it smells like vanilla and lavender to me. Also, it is super fun and satisfying to squish this product.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

Recently I have been trying out a few different lip products from NYX. The soft matte lip creams are really nice. They apply so smoothly and don’t try out your lips, which is very unusual for a matte lipstick. Mine is in the shade Cannes which is a nude, brown, pink shade. I have also tried the NYX lip lingerie and they are quite nice, but they can be a bit patchy when paired with a lip liner.

Ed Sheeran

Since Ed announced his new album I have been listening to him not stop. I have discovered a lot of new songs that I like from his first two albums. Castle on the Hill and Shape of You are also amazing songs. Divide came out at the beginning of March and it is so good. However, that isn’t technically this month’s favourite.

Song of the post: Shape Of You – Ed Sheeran

Making Tanya Burr birthday Cupcakes – Collab

Hey guys,

I am so excited to be writing this post as it is a collab with the wonderful Frances from Royally Rouge! This post is part of her collab month that she is doing on her blog. I am so happy to be a part of it, so thank you Frances!

We decided to do a blog post on baking (which is not something I normally do) however this was super fun. In celebration of my birthday, I am making the birthday cupcakes from the Tanya Bakes book. They turned out super well and I really encourage you to try them. Hope you enjoy.

  • 50g butter, softened
  • 180g caster sugar
  • 160g plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 160ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • a splash of vanilla extract

  • 500g icing sugar
  • 250g butter, softened
  • half a teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • food colouring of choice

put 50g of butter and 180g of caster sugar into a bowl and beat them together. The mix does not go fluffy but they will be okay in the end.

Fold in 160g of flour and 2 tsp of baking powder into the mix and then slowly add the milk.

Next add 1 egg and add a dash of vanilla extract and mix together. At this point, we mixed it very well to ensure a lot of air was in the mixture.

Add the mixture into 12 case (I only had 10 cases) and put in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees. The oven should be pre-heated.

mix 500g of icing sugar at 250g of butter together and add any food colouring if wanted. decorate the cakes as you want. I did a simple round piping and added little princess decoration to them. I am honestly quite proud of my piping.

This is the end result! I really love the way they turned out and I would love it if you made them to. if you do recreate these, feel free to send me a picture on my Instagram or twitter.

Bye xx
