World Book Day

Hey Guys,

long time no see! Recently, I have really been lacking inspiration to post videos, blog posts or to write to my Penpals. But, I’ slowly getting back to all of them. I thought today would be a good day to get back to the blog as I have a lot of exciting things coming up this months. Including, concerts, festivals, my birthday and world book day. Funny enough, that’s what I’m here to write about today. WORLD BOOK DAY 2018!

Since January 2017, I have become quite the book-worm, after setting reading more as my new years resolution. Magically, I stuck to it and have read three books so far this year. I really forgot how much I loved to read YA love stories and books about topics that I’m passionate about. The list of books I want to read has been growing and growing over the last few months. What books do you guys like? Tell me in the comment section.

My favourite book genre is YA romance. I just love reading about characters like me or who I can relate to. It makes me so happy! That is probably one of the biggest things I look for in a book – having a character that feels like me. What is your favourite genre?

I have to admit, world book day is not as fun nom I am a teen. In primary school, we got to dress up as our favourite character, get £1 book vouchers and have exclusive signings with authors we had never even heard of before. I remember E.R Reilly coming into our school and I spoke to him about my love for reading. It was such a cool day for 7-year-old me.

currently, I am reading a book by one of my favourite feminist, bopo influencers – Megan Jayne Crabbe. you may know her as @bodyposipanda on Instagram. she has written an incredible book, slaying diet culture and social expectations of bodies. I’m not even half way through it and I have to recommend it to everyone I see. If you want to know why I care so much about body positivity, read this book. You woIMG_3081 (2)n’t regret it. I promise!

That’s all I have for today, but I hope you agree with me on some of these points. I would love to start a conversation on books in the comments. So, let me know your favourite books, genres, characters and authors. Talk to y’all soon!
